Was here to celebrate New Years Eve going into 2024. Had a great night. The band, Audio Vixen, were fantastic just wish they would have had a larger dance floor for us to dance into the New Year. Unfortunately, we were squashed dancing between tables. Room for a dance floor, that night, would have made for the perfect night.
We went there for a "significant" important birthday for lunch on Friday, a family of four.
The staff were not very helpful or welcoming as we were trying to accommodate for a wheelchair even though we had booked the table.
Once the food came out, it was even more disappointing. Out of the seven meals we ordered (including entrees) only the barramundi and steak were good, the rest could have been purchased from the corner store fish and chips shop.
If you love chips, I recommend the 'Seafood' Platter for 2, as there was minimal seafood but lots of chips and sauces to accompany what I do not know. Definitely not worth $150 for mostly potato.
The wait time for the meals was reasonable, drinks a little pricey. I think you are paying for the view even though on a hot summers day you can not enjoy it from inside.
Poor meals for an important occasion.
Would not recommend the Drummoyne Sailing Club.
After a hard day at work I often drop by the Drummoyne sailing club to have a quick beer before heading home. The Akasha which is a very affordable and locally brewed beer is great and refreshing. There are friendly staff who often come and have a chat. Had some great conversations with Oscar. A great community, exactly what I was looking for. Would highly recommend
Fantastic location and scenic journey from circular quay on the ferry
Nice food without being special, prices in alignment with location
Nice location with beautiful views and staff! A little pricey with the quality of food, I guess you paid for the view too!
make sure you ask for a table away from big crowds if you'd like to have a peaceful time , they are popular with big groups having lunch / parties here!
I am a member and usually love this club to take friends and family for get togethers but sadly on our last couple of visits have been very disappointed and bit embarrassed in the quality of food and service in bistro and unfriendliness or lack of training of some of the new service staff
There seems to have been a change in Menus options and a noticeable decline in quality and serving sizes of mains
I ordered the mix grill seafood for $52
Lots of chips and salad but 2 very pieces of small not so nice fish 2 scollops, 2 small prawns and some tasteless octopus
Couple of us ordered the barramundi which in past has been a favourite but quite disappointing now with smaller portion of fish on smaller plates felt like an entree
To top it off my husband and I ordered desert of chocolate cake to share but when we asked for an extra plate we were asked to pay $ 2 extra ??
Of course we declined and we were given 2 forks instead 😂
Still great location and bar staff still giving great friendly service so drinks on balcony still better option
The atmosphere and staff were very pleasant, very friendly and inviting. The location is also great, being a sailing club we were able to sit back and see all the members' boats on full display.
Great setup, however, the kitchen let's it down as the food was quite disappointing.
The Lamb dish we ordered was 30 dollars and 3 tiny medallions came out...about one bite worth of meat each. Kind of disappointing, while that may be our fault for ordering from the grill at a seafood place, the also barramundi was soggy and accompanying salads disappointing.
Really busy Sunday lunch and we couldn't find our table. Oscar helped direct us to a balcony table. Absolutely stunning views and a bit of a longer wait for food but with the number of people there, the quality was not impacted at all!
